Good to know

New to tea?

Unlike kava, most people start with a very low tolerance to kratom. A small (8oz) hot or iced tea is the recommended first order. Extracts and drops like Shane’s Addiction, Stinger, and #Boom are for experienced tea drinkers; too much too soon can mean nausea and an unpleasant visit. Your Kavatender will ask whether you are new to it, and it is worth telling the truth.

A little citrus (we sometimes add lemon) brightens the taste. Kratom is in the same plant family as coffee.

Where it is served. Every Kavasutra is in Florida, Arizona, or Colorado, and the Tea Menu is served in the bar to guests 21 and older in Florida and Colorado and 18 and older in Arizona. County and city rules move independently of state rules, so if a location page does not list tea, that location does not serve it. We do not sell kratom on this website and nothing here ships.

The sale of kratom to persons under the age of 21 is prohibited. Proof of age is required for purchase. 5K-4.030(4)(a), Florida Administrative Code. It is unlawful to sell, deliver, barter, furnish, or give, directly or indirectly, any kratom product to a person who is under 21 years of age. 500.92(3), Florida Statutes. Colorado also restricts kratom sales to persons 21 and older. In Arizona, kratom may not be sold to anyone under 18 under the Arizona Kratom Consumer Protection Act, and our Arizona bars serve tea to guests 18 and older with proof of age.
